  • In the next few weeks Rev. Ann will be available for tea and conversation to discuss the time we have shared as well as any hopes or dreams you might have for St. Peter's.  Please join her for tea on any one of the following dates:  June 25th, 2-4 pm, July 2nd, 1-3 pm or July 9th, 1-3 pm.  Note the change of times this Sunday the 25th due to the parish retreat.
  • St. Peter's Family Camp Weekend Retreat at Shrinemont June 23rd-25th. Join us at St. Peter's family camp in beautiful Orkney Springs. We sleep in cabins, share delicious meals, swim, read, hike play and pray.


  • Our playground is getting renovated! In preparation for the nursery school we are building a new playground for Saint Peter's. While this is in progress the playground is closed. Work on removing the old playground is already underway, so please keep your children away from the playground area for their safety!

  • Independent Order of Odd Fellows is having its annual summer picnic for seniors, widows, widowers and orphans June 24, 2017 from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm at Memorial UMC Fellowship Hall 17821 Elgin R.   • Bassett's is hosting a fundraiser on Wednesday June 21. 10% of all food sales go towards a mission trip to Haiti for local women Marisol Alicea and Candice Riggin. They will be working with the Missionaries of Charity to preach the Gospel in their hospital and school. You can find more information at gofundme.com/candices-haiti-mission

  • Summer Bible Treasure Hunts at Olney Square Park (the corner of Bowie Mill and Gelding) Enjoy a scavenger hunt for 7 boxes with treasures from scripture about one of the fruits of the spirit. Aimed at children from toddler through elementary school. Caregivers are expected to participate in the hunt for God's treasures. Tuesdays at 9:30 am, beginning June 20th. Contact Mo.   • Nursery School This Fall Saint Peter's is launching a Nursery School to support the mission, ministry and outreach of Saint Peter's. It is for children ages 2.5-5 and will run from 9-1 Tuesday through Thursday. Registration is open now!   • Youth Group: Youth Group is joing Alpha! Join us for dinner and conversation at 5pm on Sundays. (concluded for the summer break)

Monday
  • Cherub's Music: This music class for children aged 4-6 gets children involved with music in a variety of music and game activities that keep younger children engaged in the learning process.Our weekly rehearsal is on Mondays from 4 to 5 pm, and we play our songs monthly for the congregation.   • EFM: Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 9pm, we have two groups engaged in Education For Ministry, also known as EfM.  This is a four year certificate program in theological education focusing on small group study, worship and theological reflection to deepen one’s understanding and experience of the Christian tradition.  For more information on EfM, please contact Tracey Forfa at monocacyrun1@aol.com.

Wednesday

  • Preschool Story Time (PSST) meets on Wednesdays, alternating between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM each week. Usually running in two, ten week sessions, one in the fall and one in the winter/spring, PSST is intended for children who have not yet started kindergarten. Children hear bible stories, sing songs, make a craft, share a snack and enjoy each other’s' company. Often parents organize informal play dates on our playground before or after our sessions. The program usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.(concluded for the summer break)

  • The Frederick Mission: The Frederick Mission’s goal of redeeming lives through the power of the Gospel is supported by St. Peter’s every third Sunday of the month. A group from the church buy ingredients, prepare and serve dinner and spend time interacting and conversing with the clients of the mission.
